Description
Chilli Name : SPARKY CAYENNE
Chilli Species : Annuum
Chilli Origin : USA
Chilli Heat : Hot (35,000–45,000 SHU)
Sparky Cayenne is a modern Cayenne-type chilli developed in the USA for compact growth, early maturity, and strong, even heat. It’s part of the newer generation of Cayennes bred for reliable performance in shorter growing seasons without losing the trademark Cayenne flavour.
Pods are long, slender, and slightly curved, typically 10–12 cm long, ripening from bright green to vivid red. The flavour is clean, sharp, and slightly fruity, with hot heat in the 35,000–45,000 SHU range — making it perfect for powders, flakes, sauces, and fresh cooking. It keeps that classic Cayenne sting but adds a bright freshness that makes it excellent for drying.
Plants are compact and bushy (50–70 cm tall), setting fruit early and producing heavily throughout the season. The uniform shape and thin walls make it one of the easiest Cayenne types to dry and grind.
Seeds germinate best at 26–30 °C, sprouting within 10–21 days. Plants mature in about 80–90 days, thriving in both greenhouses and sunny outdoor beds.
