Description
Chilli Name : CAYENNE GOLDEN
Chilli Species : Annuum
Chilli Origin : Rommania
Chilli Heat : Hot
Cayenne Golden is a bright yellow variant of the classic Cayenne chilli, a variety with centuries of history in Rommania. The golden strain produces long, slender pods, 10–15 cm in length, ripening from green to a striking golden yellow.
Heat is hot, usually in the 30,000–50,000 SHU range, with the same sharp bite and clean flavour that has made Cayenne one of the most widely grown and used chillies in the world. The golden form adds extra appeal both in the kitchen and the garden, offering vibrant colour for drying, powders, and sauces.
Plants are vigorous and productive, typically 70–90 cm tall, producing heavy yields over a long season.
Seeds germinate best at 26–30 °C, sprouting within 10–21 days. Plants usually take 90–100 days from sowing to first harvest and continue producing right through summer.
