Cayenne Orange is a bright orange variation of the classic cayenne, producing long, slender pods with the same sharp, fiery heat that has made the cayenne family famous. Pods average 10–15 cm in length, ripening from green to a vivid orange, making them a striking addition in both the kitchen and the garden.
Heat is hot, typically in the 30,000–50,000 SHU range, delivering a clean, biting burn. The orange pods carry the same versatility as red cayennes — ideal for drying into flakes, powders, or blending into sauces — but with a unique colour twist that adds visual impact.
Plants are vigorous and productive, reaching 70–90 cm tall, with strong branching and heavy yields across the season.
Seeds germinate best at 26–30 °C, sprouting within 10–21 days. Plants usually take 90–100 days from sowing to harvest, with steady production throughout summer.
