Description
Chilli Name : CAYENNE REGGAE
Chilli Species : Annuum
Chilli Origin : Caribbean (developed strain)
Chilli Heat : Hot
Cayenne Reggae is a Caribbean-inspired variation of the cayenne family, producing long, slim pods with a bright, fruity flavour and a lively burn. Pods reach 10–12 cm in length, ripening from green to vivid red, with a thinner skin than standard cayennes, making them particularly good for quick drying and flake production.
Heat is hot, typically in the 30,000–50,000 SHU range, with a sharper kick than many other cayenne strains. The flavour has a subtle tropical note, fitting its name and origin.
Plants are strong and branching, usually 70–90 cm tall, cropping generously through a long summer season.
Seeds germinate best at 26–30 °C, sprouting in 10–21 days. Plants mature in around 90–100 days and continue producing heavily into late summer.
