Chilli Name : REWIA SWEET PEPPER
Chilli Species : Annuum
Chilli Origin : Poland
Chilli Heat : Sweet (No Heat)
Rewia Sweet Pepper is a Polish-developed Capsicum annuum variety bred for high yield, thick flesh, and early maturity. It’s part of Poland’s modern vegetable breeding programmes, designed to thrive in cooler European climates while delivering the rich flavour and sweetness usually found in Mediterranean types.
Pods are large and blocky, about 10–12 cm long, ripening from green to bright red. The flesh is thick, juicy, and crisp, with a clean, sweet taste and no heat at all. Ideal for fresh salads, roasting, or stuffing, Rewia is known for retaining its sweetness and texture even when cooked.
Plants are strong, compact, and early-fruiting (60–80 cm tall), producing uniform pods over a long harvest season. It performs equally well in greenhouses or sunny outdoor beds, making it a reliable crop for both home and commercial growers.
Seeds germinate best at 25–30 °C, sprouting in 10–14 days. Plants mature in around 75–85 days and continue producing right through summer.
