Description
Chilli Name : PEACH GUM TIGER
Chilli Species : Chinense
Chilli Origin : USA
Chilli Heat : Very Hot
Peach Gum Tiger is a modern hybrid bred in the USA from 7 Pot Bubblegum and Tiger lineage, famed for its spectacular striping and fruity heat. It’s one of the most eye-catching varieties ever developed — a chilli that looks painted by hand.
Pods are medium-sized, 5–6 cm long, with marbled peach, orange, and red colouring and a smooth, oily sheen that gives them their “gum” name. The flavour is fruity, tropical, and slightly floral, with a fast, sharp burn reaching 300,000–500,000 SHU — fiery, but not in the superhot range. Perfect for sauces, powders, or fresh use where you want colour, flavour, and manageable heat.
Plants are medium to tall (80–100 cm) and very productive under warm conditions, with heavy crops of vividly marked pods.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting in 10–21 days. Plants mature in around 110 days and crop strongly through late summer.
