Description
Chilli Name : 7 POT PEACH
Chilli Species : Chinense
Chilli Origin : Trinidad – USA
Chilli Heat : Superhot
The 7 Pot Peach is a stunning twist on the Trinidadian 7 Pot family, developed further by breeders in the USA to stabilise its unique colour. Instead of ripening to the usual red or chocolate, this strain matures into a soft peach tone, standing out as one of the most visually appealing superhots.
What makes the Peach special is not just its colour, but also its flavour profile. The pods carry the same blistering fire as other 7 Pots but with a sweeter, slightly floral fruitiness that complements the heat. This balance has made it popular among sauce makers and growers looking for something that offers more than raw burn.
Plants typically reach 90–120 cm with a bushy growth habit, producing good yields of medium-sized, wrinkled pods. Pods ripen from green through pale shades before settling into their peachy final colour, making the plant itself quite ornamental during the season.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, usually sprouting in 10–21 days. In the UK, greenhouse or polytunnel growing is strongly recommended for reliable ripening. Plants generally take 110–130 days from sowing to harvest, with pods appearing late in the season.
