Description
Chilli Name : HABOLOKIA RED
Chilli Species : Chinense
Chilli Origin : India
Chilli Heat : Superhot
Habolokia Red is an Indian superhot hybrid, created by crossing the famous Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Pepper) with the Habanero. The result is a fiery powerhouse that delivers the searing intensity of the Bhut with the fruity, floral undertone of the habanero — a favourite among serious heat lovers and sauce makers.
Pods are medium-sized, elongated and heavily wrinkled, ripening from green to deep red. Heat is superhot, often exceeding 1,000,000 SHU, with a quick, brutal burn and a rich, fruity aroma beneath the heat. Despite its power, the flavour remains complex and slightly smoky.
Plants are tall and vigorous (90–120 cm), branching freely and producing large crops under long, warm growing seasons.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting in 10–21 days. Plants take around 110–120 days to maturity and crop best in greenhouses or warm, sheltered gardens.
