Description
Chilli Name : FATALII YELLOW
Chilli Species : Chinense
Chilli Origin : Africa (developed from Caribbean chinense types)
Chilli Heat : Very Hot–Superhot
Fatalii Yellow is the original and most famous member of the Fatalii family, a chilli that took root in Africa after being introduced from the Caribbean centuries ago. It’s now regarded as one of the defining African superhots, prized for its sharp citrus flavour and intense, lingering burn.
Pods are elongated, 5–7 cm long, slightly wrinkled and pointed, ripening from green to vivid yellow. Heat is very hot to superhot, often reaching 400,000–800,000 SHU, but the flavour is clean and fruity with strong lemon-lime notes — a signature of the Fatalii type.
Plants are medium-sized (80–100 cm), bushy and very productive, thriving in warm, sunny conditions with long seasons.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting in 10–21 days. Plants mature in around 100–110 days, producing heavy crops through summer and autumn.
