Description
Chilli Name : FATALII CHOCOLATE
Chilli Species : Chinense
Chilli Origin : Central African Republic (developed from Caribbean chinense types)
Chilli Heat : Superhot
Fatalii Chocolate is a colour variant of the famous Fatalii chilli, a chinense type that became established in Africa after being carried there from the Caribbean centuries ago. The chocolate strain is especially valued by collectors for its unusual colour and fierce heat.
Pods are elongated and slightly wrinkled, tapering to a point, ripening from green to deep chocolate-brown. Heat is superhot, often over 800,000 SHU, with a fiery burn that lasts. Flavour is fruity with earthy undertones, as is typical of darker-podded chillies.
Plants are medium-sized (80–100 cm), vigorous and productive, with heavy crops of elongated pods.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting in 10–21 days. Plants take 100–110 days to reach maturity and continue cropping into late summer.
