Description
Chilli Name : DAMIAN CAYENNE
Chilli Species : Annuum
Chilli Origin : Unknown (likely breeder/named strain)
Chilli Heat : Hot
Damian Cayenne is a cayenne-type chilli, carrying the same long, slender pod shape and sharp heat that defines the family. While its exact breeding origin isn’t fully documented, the strain is recognised among growers as a distinct named variety within the wider cayenne group.
Pods are slim and elongated, typically 10–12 cm, ripening from green to bright red. Heat is hot, in the classic cayenne range, making it ideal for sauces, powders, and general kitchen use.
Plants are vigorous and productive, usually 70–90 cm tall, with heavy crops of uniform pods. Like other cayenne strains, Damian is reliable and easy to grow, suiting both pots and open ground.
Seeds germinate best at 26–28 °C, sprouting within 10–20 days. Plants take around 90–100 days from sowing to first ripe pods, with cropping continuing throughout summer.
