CHAMPION is a mild-type baccatum cultivar offered by Fatalii Seeds. It is described as “one of the greatest mild varieties” when picked at the optimum stage.
The pods begin green and turn to yellow-orange as they ripen. They are not of the typical “Bishop’s Hat” shape, though sometimes compared; rather they have a stronger fruity taste and a distinct form
With very low pungency (“has only a mild pungency” per the breeder), CHAMPION offers a fruity, sweet flavour if harvested just as the pods begin to change colour. Heat falls into the “Mild” category (500-5 000 SHU) given the description
The variety is described as prolific and easy to grow, making it suitable for enthusiastic home growers. Full plant size details are not stated
Developed and maintained by Fatalii Seeds in Finland/Europe from the early 2000s; the variety has been grown almost every year by the breeder since then.
Germination temperature 28–30 °C. See our Water and Feed Guides for advise.
Chilli Seeds Qty is 5 per pack unless stated.
