Description

Chilli Name : INDIAN CHILLI BULLET
Chilli Species : Annuum
Chilli Origin : India
Chilli Heat : Hot

Indian Chilli Bullet is a classic Indian variety widely grown across southern and central India. It’s a mainstay of everyday Indian cooking — fiery, consistent, and full of flavour. The name “Bullet” comes from the compact, pointed shape of the pods and their fast, sharp burst of heat.

Pods are short and stocky, 5–7 cm long, with a smooth glossy skin that ripens from green to deep red. Heat is hot, typically 40,000–60,000 SHU, with a bold, earthy, slightly smoky taste that adds instant warmth and colour to curries, pickles, and spice blends. It’s one of the go-to chillies for tadka (tempering) and for drying to make chilli powder.

Plants are medium-sized (60–80 cm), bushy and highly productive, yielding heavy clusters of pods throughout the growing season. The variety performs particularly well in hot, dry climates but adapts easily to protected growing in cooler regions.

Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting within 10–21 days. Plants mature in about 90–100 days and crop reliably over long warm periods.
