Description

Chilli Name : KĀZA (Kaza)
Chilli Species : Annuum
Chilli Origin : Unknown (modern hybrid developed for large, mild culinary use)
Chilli Heat : Mild

Kaza is a modern mild chilli variety, often described as a thick-walled, large-podded type — ideal for stuffing, fresh eating, or use where size and flavour matter more than fire. The name “Kaza” here is not tied to traditional superhot lines; instead, it’s bred for practicality, yield, and culinary versatility.

Pods are broad and blocky, large in size, ripening from pale green to deep red (or possibly intermediate shades depending on growing conditions). The flesh is thick and crisp, giving it body and texture. Taste is aromatic and pleasant, with mild heat — softly warming rather than scorching. Because of its bulk flesh, Kaza works beautifully for stuffed peppers, roasting, or fresh slicing.

Plants are compact to medium, strong and bushy, with good yields of large pods. They suit greenhouse, tunnel or outdoor growing (in warm climates or under protection). Raised beds or containers are fine, though large pods need strong support.

Seeds germinate best at 26–30 °C, sprouting in 10–21 days. Plants mature in roughly 100–110 days under good conditions, with cropping continuing while weather holds.
