Description
Chilli Name : BRAZILIAN MINI PUMPKIN
Chilli Species : Chinense
Chilli Origin : Brazil
Chilli Heat : Medium
The Brazilian Mini Pumpkin is a chinense variety from Brazil, named for its pod shape, which closely resembles small pumpkins. It reflects the diversity of Brazilian chillies, where shape and form have long been as important as flavour.
Pods are rounded, ribbed, and segmented like tiny pumpkins, ripening from green to bright orange-red. Heat is in the medium range, with a fruity chinense flavour that makes them versatile for both fresh use and cooking.
Plants grow to around 70–100 cm tall, branching well and producing heavy crops of these unusual and attractive pods. Their distinctive appearance makes them stand out both in the garden and in the kitchen.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting within 10–21 days. Plants mature in 90–110 days from sowing, yielding reliably through the summer season.
