Description
Chilli Name : BRAZILIAN GHOST YELLOW
Chilli Species : Chinense
Chilli Origin : Brazil
Chilli Heat : Superhot
The Brazilian Ghost Yellow is a superhot chinense from Brazil, named for its resemblance to the famous Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Pepper) while carrying its own local twist. The variety combines the wrinkled, pointed pod shape typical of ghost types with a bright yellow ripening colour and intense, fruity heat.
Pods are elongated and wrinkled, often tapering to a sharp point, ripening from green to golden yellow. Heat is superhot, with fruity citrus notes typical of yellow strains beneath the intensity.
Plants are vigorous and branching, usually reaching 90–120 cm tall, and produce heavily when given a long warm season.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting in 10–21 days. Plants take around 100–120 days from sowing to harvest, with greenhouse or polytunnel growing recommended in cooler climates.
