The Ají Fantasy Peach is a striking colour variation of the Finnish-bred Ají Fantasy, created by Jukka Fatalii. While it shares the same South American baccatum heritage, this form ripens to a soft peach shade, making it one of the rarer Fantasy lines and particularly appealing to collectors.
Pods are lantern-shaped, 4–6 cm long, with the same bulbous body and pointed tip typical of the Fantasy family. They ripen from green through pale tones to a delicate peach, offering mild to medium heat and a fruity, citrusy flavour. The unusual colouring makes them stand out in both the garden and the kitchen.
Plants are compact and prolific, usually 60–90 cm tall, and produce abundant crops throughout the season. Like other Fantasy strains, they are well-suited to greenhouse or polytunnel cultivation in the UK, though they can succeed outdoors in a warm summer.
Seeds germinate best at 25–28 °C, usually sprouting within 10–21 days. Plants take 90–110 days from sowing to harvest, with steady pod production into late summer and autumn.
