Description
Chilli Name : NAGA SEASONING
Chilli Species : Chinense
Chilli Origin : India
Chilli Heat : Superhot
Naga Seasoning is a refined strain of the famous Naga chillies, bred for a cleaner, more balanced flavour while keeping the trademark Naga heat. Developed in India as a culinary-use hybrid, it delivers the same Chinense power but with a smoother burn and bold aroma, making it one of the most practical superhots for everyday sauce making.
Pods are medium-sized, elongated and slightly wrinkled, around 5–6 cm long, ripening from green to deep red. The flavour is fruity, aromatic and slightly smoky, without the sharp bitterness found in some wild-type Nagas. Heat levels reach around 800,000–1,000,000 SHU, giving it real intensity without overpowering its natural sweetness. It’s widely used in India for pickles, spice blends, and sauces where flavour is as important as fire.
Plants are vigorous and high-yielding (90–110 cm tall), producing consistent crops even under varied conditions. This makes it a favourite among growers seeking Naga intensity with reliable performance and adaptability.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting in 10–21 days. Plants mature in around 110–120 days, cropping heavily through late summer under warm, humid conditions.
