Naga Yellow is a vibrant colour variant of the famous Naga family of chillies, developed from Indian Bhut Jolokia and Naga Morich lines. It keeps the ferocious superhot heat and unmistakable Naga aroma, but delivers a fruity, citrusy flavour that makes it a favourite among sauce makers and collectors alike.
Pods are elongated and wrinkled, 5–7 cm long, ripening from green to bright yellow-orange. The flavour is fruity, floral, and slightly tangy, with the trademark slow-building Naga burn that can exceed 1,000,000 SHU. Its golden colour and zesty tone make it perfect for fruity hot sauces, salsas, and powders where brightness and heat are equally important.
Plants are medium to tall (90–120 cm), bushy and highly productive, producing heavy crops under warm, stable conditions. Like other Chinense superhots, Naga Yellow thrives in greenhouse or tunnel environments, where warmth and humidity allow the pods to reach full maturity.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting in 10–21 days. Plants mature in around 110–120 days, yielding generously through late summer.
