Mini Chocolate Bell Pepper is a small, rich-coloured sweet pepper known for its compact size, deep chocolate-brown skin, and remarkably sweet flavour. Despite its name, it contains no chocolate flavour — the term refers to the pod colour — but it’s one of the most aromatic and tasty small bells available.
Pods are blocky and compact, around 5–6 cm across, ripening from green to glossy chocolate brown. The flesh is thick, juicy, and exceptionally sweet, making it perfect for snacking, salads, roasting, or stuffing. When cooked, the dark flesh develops a subtle smokiness that adds depth to savoury dishes.
Plants are compact and highly productive (40–60 cm tall), producing dozens of pods across a long season. They’re ideal for containers, patios, or greenhouse growing, thriving in warm, sunny conditions.
Seeds germinate best at 26–30 °C, sprouting within 10–21 days. Plants mature in around 80–90 days, producing continuously through summer.
