Description
Chilli Name : HABANERO PINK
Chilli Species : Chinense
Chilli Origin : USA (developed from Caribbean habanero strains)
Chilli Heat : Hot
Habanero Pink is a rare and attractive habanero variety developed in the USA from Caribbean chinense lines. It’s admired for its soft pastel colouring and a milder, fruit-forward heat compared to traditional habaneros.
Pods are small and lantern-shaped, ripening from pale green to delicate pink-peach. Heat is hot, around 100,000–200,000 SHU, offering a bright tropical flavour without the overpowering burn of the hotter strains. The flavour is clean, sweet and slightly floral — perfect for fresh use or sauces that highlight its colour.
Plants are medium-sized (70–90 cm), bushy and high yielding, producing consistent crops throughout the summer.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting in 10–21 days. Plants mature in about 100 days and perform well under protection or in warm outdoor conditions.
