Habanero Limon, also known as Habanero Lemon, is a Mexican habanero variety from the Yucatán Peninsula, famous for its bright citrus aroma and clean, sharp heat. It’s a favourite in Mexico for fresh salsas and seafood dishes where its tangy flavour really stands out.
Pods are small, lantern-shaped and slightly wrinkled, ripening from light green to lemon-yellow. Heat is very hot, around 250,000–350,000 SHU, but balanced by a zesty, almost tropical flavour that makes it one of the most refreshing chillies in the habanero family.
Plants are compact to medium-sized (60–80 cm), branching well and producing heavily throughout the season.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting in 10–21 days. Plants reach maturity in around 100 days, cropping strongly into late summer.
