The Blended Lemon Yellow is a superhot developed by Finnish breeder Jukka Fatalii, known for his extensive chilli work and unique crosses. This variety was selected for its bright lemon-yellow pods and blistering heat, adding both visual appeal and fire to the grower’s collection.
Pods are gnarly and wrinkled, ripening from green to a clear, vibrant yellow. Flavour carries the fruity-citrus notes often found in yellow superhots, though the sheer intensity of heat dominates.
Plants are strong, upright chinense types, typically 90–120 cm tall, producing well when given a long, warm season.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting within 10–21 days. Plants take around 100–120 days from sowing to first harvest, with greenhouse or polytunnel conditions recommended for cooler climates.
