Description
Chilli Name : JAY’S PEACH GHOST SCORPION
Chilli Species : Chinense
Chilli Origin : USA
Chilli Heat : Superhot
Jay’s Peach Ghost Scorpion is a modern American superhot hybrid, created by grower Jay Weaver. It’s a cross between two legendary chillies — the Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Pepper) and the Trinidad Scorpion — resulting in one of the most blisteringly hot yet beautiful peppers ever bred.
Pods are twisted, stinger-tipped and highly contorted, ripening from light green to a stunning soft peach-pink tone. The flavour is fruity, floral, and slightly smoky, but don’t be fooled by the delicate colour — this is a true superhot, regularly testing over 1,000,000 SHU. The burn builds deep and long, starting with an intense tongue sting before spreading through the entire mouth.
Plants are tall and vigorous (90–120 cm), producing heavy crops of large, gnarly pods through long warm seasons. The variety’s striking colour and extreme heat have made it a collector and sauce-maker favourite across the world.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting within 10–21 days. Plants take 110–120 days to mature, thriving in greenhouses or protected full-sun environments.
