Chilli Origin : Lebanon
Chilli Heat : Mild
Lebanese Marble is a traditional Lebanese chilli variety, grown for both its ornamental beauty and its versatility in Mediterranean cooking. True to its name, the pods ripen through a marbled blend of cream, purple, orange, and red, giving the plant a striking, colourful appearance that’s as decorative as it is productive.
Pods are small and rounded, about 2–3 cm in diameter, resembling miniature marbles. The flesh is firm with a sweet, slightly fruity flavour and mild to medium heat — typically around 5,000–15,000 SHU, depending on maturity. It’s perfect for pickling, salads, and light sauces, adding colour and gentle spice without overpowering food.
Plants are compact and bushy (30–45 cm tall), making them ideal for pots, balconies, or ornamental displays. Despite their size, they produce heavy clusters of pods, often showing multiple colours at once — a hallmark of this variety.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting within 10–21 days. Plants mature in around 90 days, thriving in warm, bright conditions and producing continuously throughout the season.
