Description
Chilli Name : DENTE DI COYOTE HABANERO
Chilli Species : Chinense
Chilli Origin : Mexico
Chilli Heat : Hot
Dente di Coyote Habanero is a Mexican habanero-type chilli, its name translating to Coyote’s Tooth in Italian, a reference to the long, pointed pod shape. While related to the habanero family, this variety has a distinct look and a sharper bite.
Pods are elongated and narrow, tapering to a tooth-like point, ripening from green to a rich orange-red. Heat is hot, around the classic habanero level, with fruity chinense flavour and a strong burn that makes it well suited for sauces and salsas.
Plants are medium-sized (70–90 cm), bushy and productive, carrying clusters of slim pods throughout the season.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting in 10–21 days. Plants reach maturity in around 100 days, cropping well through the summer months.
