Description
Chilli Name : CAYENNE RING OF FIRE
Chilli Species : Annuum
Chilli Origin : UK (developed strain)
Chilli Heat : Hot
Cayenne Ring of Fire is a high-yielding modern cayenne strain, bred for extra heat and faster maturity compared to traditional cayennes. It has become one of the most popular cayenne varieties grown in the UK and Europe.
Pods are slim and slightly curved, 10–12 cm long, ripening quickly from green to deep red. Heat is hot, often sharper and more intense than standard cayennes, making it excellent for drying into flakes or powder, as well as fresh use in sauces and curries.
Plants are compact and early cropping, usually around 60–80 cm tall, ideal for shorter growing seasons or greenhouse production.
Seeds germinate best at 26–30 °C, sprouting within 10–21 days. Plants typically mature in as little as 80–90 days, producing heavily across the season.
