Description
Chilli Name : NAGA MORICH CHOCOLATE
Chilli Species : Chinense
Chilli Origin : Bangladesh
Chilli Heat : Superhot
Naga Morich Chocolate is a rare brown variant of the legendary Naga Morich, the original Bangladeshi superhot that helped shape the modern chilli world. This chocolate strain carries the same signature Naga flavour and blistering heat, but with a darker pod colour and a smokier, more complex taste profile.
Pods are medium-sized and heavily wrinkled, around 5–7 cm long, ripening from green to deep chocolate brown. The flavour is rich, earthy, and slightly fruity, followed by the unmistakable slow-building, devastating burn that defines the Naga family — typically around 1,000,000–1,200,000 SHU. It’s a superb variety for sauces, powders, and ferments, adding depth and warmth without sacrificing the raw intensity of true Nagas.
Plants are tall and vigorous (90–120 cm), producing generous yields of dark pods across a long season. They thrive in greenhouse or tunnel conditions where consistent warmth and humidity bring out their full potential.
Seeds germinate best at 28–30 °C, sprouting in 10–21 days. Plants mature in around 110–120 days and continue producing well into autumn.
