The Thai Red Demon F1 is a commercial hybrid chilli developed from Thai-type peppers, bred for compact growth and high productivity. It is widely grown as both a culinary and ornamental plant, combining traditional Thai heat with improved hybrid performance.
Pods are small, slender, and borne upright in clusters above the foliage. They ripen from green to bright red, with a uniform shape and thin walls, making them suitable for fresh use, drying, and decorative display.
Flavour is sharp and clean with a strong, direct heat. Typical heat levels range from 30,000–50,000 SHU, placing it in the Hot category. It is well suited to stir-fries, curries, and sauces where consistent heat is required.
Plants are compact, bushy, and highly productive, producing large numbers of upright fruits over a long season. They perform well in containers, patios, and open-ground cultivation, benefiting from warm growing conditions.
This F1 hybrid represents modern breeding of Thai chilli types, focusing on uniformity, yield, and compact habit while retaining the characteristic heat and form of traditional Thai peppers.
