ZUALAS CHILTEPIQUIN
Zualas Chiltepiquin is a wild-type Capsicum annuum var. glabriusculum, believed to originate from northern Mexico or the southern U.S. border region. These chillies are tiny, round, and extremely hot — part of the legendary chiltepin family often referred to as the “mother” of all chillies.
With a sharp, immediate very hot heat and a tangy, slightly citrus flavour, they’re often used sparingly to fire up sauces and broths. Plants are perennial in warm climates and thrive in wild or semi-wild settings, often growing in partial shade. A fantastic variety for those wanting to connect with chilli history and untamed spice.
