Description
Species: Capsicum sp. | Origin: Brazil | Heat: Hot This variety is apparently a chinense-annuum cross with purple pods! In Brazil it is called Neyde (after the women who discovered it).Even though the fruits don't resemble chinenses very much, the taste is said to be very chinense-like and the pods are supposed to be very hot. Flowers are white with purple stains and the pods (which measure 2cm to 5cm) remain purple even at maturty. The variety is definately one for the avid pepper collector.
