Description
Species: Frutescens | Origin: Brazil | Heat: Hot Semi wild relative to the Tabasco. This native of Brazil produces a bushy, dense plant with very small upright peppers, measuring less than an inch in length. These peppers have wrinkled skins and searing heat and ripen from light green to Red (120 days). Although this was once popular in England in Elizabethian times through trade with Portugal, this variety is now rare outside of South America. Their is some debate amongst as to whether this variety is actually part of the Baccatum var pendulum species.
