Species Annuum Origin Africa Heat Hot Pre-1870's African American heirloom variety used to season fish and shellfish in the African-American communities around Baltimore and Philadelphia . A very striking ornamental pepper where both the 18 - 24inch plant and the 1 - 2 inches long pendant fruits can be completely variegated. The leaves and fruit are lined with creamy white and green, with the peppers eventually turning orange-red. These chiles are still very much sought after by cooks.
