Species: Chinense | Origin: Jamaica | Heat: Extremely Hot A Scotch bonnet type which many say is hotter than a normal Habanero. A 2ft tall plant can produce in excess of fifty 2 x 1.5 inch very pungent wrinkled fruits which mature from a lime green to a dark rich red. The pods have a very distinctive fruity flavour of apples, apricots and a hint of citrus all rolled into one and are a firm favourite in the Caribbean for the famous hot sauces. Approximately 150,000 scoville heat units.
