Species Annuum Origin USA Heat Medium Also spelt Esconidida, this Anaheim type orginates from Escondida in New Mexico (hence its name) which is over 5,000 ft over sea level. The thin skinned pods can grow up to 5 inches long by 1 to 1.25 inches wide and ripen from green to brown and finally to red.
