Species: Chinense | Origin: USA | Heat: Nuclear New variety, known as the Carolina Reaper, originally claimed by Ed Currie. There is growing debate in the pepper community whether the Carolina Reaper is actually the same pepper as the 7 Pod/Pot Primo. There has been much debate as to exactly how hot this pepper is, but stupidly hot will suffice. This variety is closely linked to the 7 Pot/Pod and Trinidad Scorpion landrace varieties. It may or may not be a different variety.
